Pokerstars Bank Wires And eChecks – March 2011
Payment processing at Pokerstars sees a lot of ups and downs. Every month I will post an update on processing times for Pokerstars bank wires and Pokerstars echecks. As a poker player and an affiliate I am constantly waiting for cashouts at Pokerstars. For a long time I would just use echecks but I found that bankwires are much faster and reliable. The information below is based on the average cashout processing times for bank wires and echecks in March, 2011.
Poker Stars Bank Wire Cashouts in March of 2011 – 03/2011
As of March 9th, 2011, you should expect a delay on bank wire cashouts from Pokerstars. This mostly applies to US poker players. This is because they recently started using an overseas bank. International wires tend to take longer than wires from banks in North America. There is another new thing you should be aware of with bankwire cashouts. The bank they are using is charging a $20-$40 fee. This is not including the fee charged by your bank.
I cashed out at Poker Stars recently and they charged a $25 fee. I had to argue with several Pokerstars support people before they gave me $25 back. If your bank wire withdrawal at Pokerstars is short just write support and they should credit it to your account. Here is a timeline for bank wire cashouts at Pokerstars in March of 2011:
- Time it takes for Pokerstars to approve your bank wire – 1-3 days
- Time it take to show up in your bank account – 1-3 days
This time frame can be larger. This is just the average these days. Pokerstars has recently started using a shady tactic when it comes to bank wires. Twice they told me that I submitted the wrong account or routing number. This is total BS though. I do not have access to that information. I submit it once and then it’s saved in the system. I talked to 5-6 different Pokerstars employees and no one would respond to this.
Pokerstars eCheck cashouts in March of 2011 – 03/2011
Pokerstars echeck cashouts tend to be much less reliable than bank wires. It seems like their processor goes down every month. I’ve had echeck cashouts take 1 day and others take 2 weeks. Pokerstars echeck cashouts in March, 2011 are not experiencing any delays as far as I can tell. I’ve checked the major poker forums and most people are reporting a 1-3 day time frame.
