  • A Huge Win For Me At CardSpike

This is not H.O.R.S.E poker related but since many of you are Holdem players I thought I would share the experience I had at a poker room tonight. I was working on a website earlier and was getting a little bored. I decided to play a little poker so I made a deposit on the new room on the Cake Poker network; CardSpike Poker. if you have ever played at a room on the Cake network you will probably know that they have the loosest/worst players out there.

I made a $45 deposit and started off playing $1/2 NL Omaha Hi-Lo. I know what you are probably thinking, “What kind of donk sits at that limit with a paltry $45?”. Well, I was in the mood to win big or lose fast. I doubled up my first hand. I can’t quite recall how long I played at that table but when I left I had around $200. Then I sat at a$3/6 FL Holdem table for a little while. The Holdem players on CardSpike are honestly the worst I have ever played. I dominated the 3/6 than moved up to $5/$10. After a little while there I sat at the $8/16 with around $350. This is when it really got interesting.

I honestly could not lose. The other players at the table actually accused me of cheating. It was just one of those nights. After an hour or two at that table I took a break with around $1,350. I played for a little bit longer after I ate some food and ended up with $1500.50. I cashed out for $1,300 and ended up donking off the other $200. I must say the poker gods smiled on me tonight.

I actually don’t even like Cardspike poker to tell you the truth. I have played thousands of hands their and still haven’t cleared my entire first deposit bonus ($100 I think). Another retarded aspect of Cardspike and the other rooms on the network is they try and trick people with their deposit bonus. If you visit Cardspike you will see right on the homepage that they offer a 100% up to $500 deposit bonus. When I first started playing there I made my deposit and started grinding away. After a while I was thinking “Where the hell is my bonus?”.

After contacting support I found out I had to enter a bonus code and that none of my hands would count in terms of clearing my bonus. Needless to say I was pretty pissed. Why don’t they just give you the standard bonus automatically? The software is also a big pain in the ass. When you click on the “cashier” button you have to enter your username and password every single time…even though your logged into your account.

I have no proof, just a feeling, but I swear it seems like their software is rigged to induce action. I have never seen so many flushes, straights and full houses. I would call with any suited hand in Holdem and I can’t even remember how many flushes I picked up on the river.

Their promotions are pretty crappy as well. This room has been plagued with trouble since they launched. The only positives I can think of is that they accept U.S. players and they have loose tables. This post is in no way an endorsement for CardSpike. I would suggest playing elsewhere. Of course no poker affiliate would link to a poker room without the chance of earning a commission so if you want to check it out be sure to use the link below.
