Pokerstars uses cut-throat marketing to steal the world record for the largest poker tournament. Two Guinness World Records were set and broken today. This is the first major battle in the on-going war between the internet’s largest poker rooms, Pokerstars and Full Tilt Poker.
On July 19th Full Tilt Poker will be attempting to be put in the Guinness Book of World Records by hosting the largest poker tournament in history. They are hoping to run a tournament with 50,000 entries. This event has a $5 (or 1,000 point) entry fee and will have a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool. That is including $250,000 in added funds. I’m asking all you mixed game players to help Full Tilt beat Pokerstar’s record of 35,000 players.
